About Blimzo Music & Producer Scott Ripple

Blimzo Music is the master production house and multi-genre catalog founded by veteran producer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist Scott Ripple. From the live stages of Austin to the premier recording rooms of Nashville, Ripple’s career spans decades of elite musicianship and technical studio execution.

He cut his teeth touring with Southern Gospel pioneers The Original Bells of Joy before spending years working, engineering, and writing alongside legendary Nashville composer and producer Ben Hall (Buddy Holly, Alabama). A former session musician and founder of Audio Mixing Nashville, Ripple brings a lifetime of deep engineering knowledge and cross-genre fluency to the modern studio landscape.

Today, Ripple serves as the singular creative engine behind five distinct recording projects, writing 100% of the lyrics and directing the sonic identity for each:

  • Flatland Sugar: High-energy modern country with a contemporary pop-crossover edge.

  • Pretending Silence: A gritty, powerful outlet for alternative and heavy rock production.

  • Leni Rose: A distinct creative alter ego diving into premium sugar pop and atmospheric trap vibes.

  • The Flaming Tamales: Groove-driven, hard-hitting funk rock built on heavy bass and hard guitars.

  • Darien Knoxx: A sharp, modern outlet for hard-hitting hip-hop and rap arrangements.

Industry & Publishing

Beyond his own projects, Ripple’s studio experience is backed by active roles across the music industry. He is an A&R consultant for independent labels Cloud Palace Music and Howlin’ Rebel Recordings, a senior staff writer at EMR Music Publishing, and a longtime writer/publisher member of ASCAP Nashville.

Whether tracking a session, writing a hook, or working to elevate a developing artist, every record coming out of the studio follows the exact same philosophy that started it all: building honest, immediate songs designed to last.

Different monikers. Different sounds. Same pen.
